My STORY

Hi, my name is Zdenka and I am certified Ayurvedic therapist and practitioner. It has been a long dream of mine to set up my own studio where I can provide treatments and services for people who are seeking a holistic way of life.

My journey to Ayurveda was a big AHA moment. My life was always busy, running after things, many times working till absolutely exhausted, dining out and overeating was a coping mechanism, drinking alcohol, and exercising till depleted. My FOMO was just too big to handle. It all changed after food poisoning in Thailand. Now I understand how it all manifested there as a result of my lifestyle and stress. I have been put on 3-course of antibiotics which did not help and actually made everything worse. Antibiotics are life-saving medication (dont get me wrong), but it should be really used when absolutely necessary and with proper after care. After all I still ended up with bloating, gas, irregular bowel movements but also fatigue, stress and depression. I have tried so many things, all the latest trends, run from one white coat to another, but nothing really brought me any relief. If any it was only short term before things would get back.  All that really impacted my life, mental wellbeing, social life, work and relationships. Then I have discovered Ayurveda and I decided to take a simple 3-week guided therapy. I began to understand the connection between my actions, long stress, unhealthy eating habits and a busy lifestyle. Ayurveda is about following simple steps and guidelines, focusing on prevention, whole person and personalized approach. There is no one size fits all. I was amazed and knew I needed to dive into Ayurveda and holistic wellness. It involved changes in food habits and eating, daily practices, re-connecting with nature, and re-programming my old myself.

Sometimes I tell myself that it all happened for a reason, this is how it was meant to be.

"Getting unwell was the best thing that happened to me. It surely shook me and caused me to wake up to start listening to my body and make changes in my life".

There is no "magical pill or quick fix". Holistic healing is a long-term path towards overall well-being, improved resilience and a more balanced life.

NAMASTE

Ayurvedic practitioner, teacher and yogini Myra from Hale Pule and her course was my first introduction to Ayurveda. Later met Myra at her Ayurvedic seminar.

Diving deep at Vipassana in 2020 for 10-day Silent Meditation course in rural setting of Blue Mountains, NSW. The goal was to observe my thoughts, meditate, sharpen my awareness and see what is actually going inside me. At the end I realized there was not a goal, just ANICCA - understanding that nothing is static or permanent. It is either arising or passing away. Began to understand the nature of reality and letting go of attachments to the things which are impermanent.

FOOD (Ahar)

Warm fresh seasonal food which is easily digestible is a priotity in Ayurveda. Using spices that help digestion and balance Doshas as well as Ghee which is a staple in Ayurvedic cooking. Involving all 6 tastes - Sweet, Salty, Sour, Pungent, Bitter, Astringent is key to a balanced meal. Food is your Medicine!

LIFESTYLE (Vihar)

Incorporating daily practices and self-care routines (dinacharya) is important part of Ayurveda. Little things you do every day have profound impact on your health. It is not only preventing diseases but also giving you the awareness to seek balance within, wellness as well as longevity.

SLEEP (Nidra)

Quality sleep plays a vital role in restoring and revitalizing the body, mind and spirit. It balances all 3 Doshas and maintains mental clarity.

NATURE

Connecting with nature means reduced stress, increased happiness, life satisfaction and sense of connection to something larger than oneself. Developing a deeper understanding and respect for the natural world. Taking a slow walk in a forest, swimming in the lakes, paying attention to the trees, plants and sounds, just immersing yourself in nature. It is called "Forest bathing".

knowing yourself is true wisdom.

Mastering others is strength;

mastering yourself is true power.

you are truly rich."                                                      Tao Te Ching
